Cost
Different fertility clinics have different price ranges. The fees listed below from Mount Sinai Hospital is more or less an average range of what the procedures may cost, if you decide to use assisted human reproduction technology to conceive.
Funding
This refers to Ontario Residents only. Services not covered under OHIP is the lab service of providing a sperm wash and any drugs used. See link for more information: http://www.ivfcanada.com/services/fees/general_fee_schedule.cfm
OHIP-Funded IVF Patients
- Have bilaterally blocked fallopian tubes* - Female partner has not reached her 40th birthday at the time of treatment *Both tubes must be completely blocked and this must be supported by medical records indicating tubal status Initial physician consultation fee is billable to OHIP only if patient was referred from another physician. For IVF, OHIP does not cover all of the treatment costs; required to pay for all IVF gamete laboratory services out-of-pocket. |
Non-Funded IVF Patients
- Do not have bilaterally blocked fallopian tubes Required to pay all costs out of pocket. |
